For Valentine's Day week — February 9 through 15 — we'll have a bottle of bubbles and a bouquet in each room...whether you're a couple or a party of one.

Mid-winter is anything but bleak here. Our proximity to ski mountains, Wethersfield and the Harlem Rail Trail, offer an abundance of outdoor fun (consult our Winter Wander itineraries here), and at Troutbeck, the fires are ablaze, books beckon and the cozy rooms envelop.

The Barns await with bookable treatments, such as massages, acupuncture, sound baths and astrology, not to mention our daily movement classes, all led by adored practitioners.

2/4 — ROSA PARKS DAY

It's Black History Month and Rosa Parks Day on February 4th. Parks received the Spingarn Medal, the NAACP's highest honor, for her "quiet courage and determination" when she refused to give up her bus seat to a white man on December 1, 1955, helping to set the stage for the Civil Rights Movement.
