We may still be getting snow, but Spring will be here in a jiffy, and with it warmth in the air, in the earth, buds, green branches, ramps, morels...they, too, are on their way.

That annual epic family affair, SPRING BREAK, comes in March, higgledy-piggledy, these two weeks or those, so we've put together a 14-point list of evergreen March youth-appropriate things to do. ON PROPERTY

March 1, Carve a wooden spoon from a pre-cut blank while learning the fundamentals of safe, efficient spoon carving with Cottage Courses.
March 6-8, Book the Winter Walk program package, which includes a winter walk with local naturalist Loren Merrill.
Feb 13-15, Reserve the Skyhunters in Flight program package for 2 spots per room to encounter owls, hawks, and falcons.

THE BARNS

March classes - mat Pilates, yoga + functional fitness + yoga - are included in your room rate.
Wellness Treatments, such as massages, facials, scrubs, an experience tailored to soothe expecting parents, are available to book.

TROUTBECK SYMPOSIUM

This April, the Troutbeck Symposium returns for its 5th year, and as lead-up, the community is welcome to join us for a series of events, beginning with an exhibition of students' past works at the Millerton Moviehouse on 3/24 from 11:30-1pm. Then, on 3/26, historian Russell Shorto will discuss his book, Revolution Song: A Story of American Freedom, with educator and Symposium co-founder, Rhonan Mokriski at Troutbeck.
