We’re situated amongst the vibrant and engaging communities of the Hudson Valley and western Connecticut. Visit Millerton, Amenia or Wassaic, NY and Sharon, CT by complimentary bicycle. Zipline Catamount in summer or ski it in winter. Hike, fly fish, ride horseback, gravel or mountain bike, take a farm tour, visit a distillery, a bookstore or any number of beautiful shops nearby. Truly, there is something for everyone. Troutbeck is active with arts and cultural programming, with curated events on property and off all year.

AND SO WE BEGIN AGAIN: JANUARY

A calendar page brings a new year and we are beginning it with our New Year's Eve mini-retreat - THE ART OF BECOMING - to imbue it with intention and clean slates. There's still space to join this week as a hotel guest or member.

Our new art show in collaboration with Wassaic Project, CONVERSANT by E.E. Kono, will be celebrated with a reception on 1/16.

And we've created Program Packages for hotel guests who would like to experience some of the extraordinary features of our natural region and property.

Stay January 23-25 and reserve the FALCONRY room package, which includes two participants per room to encounter owls, hawks, and falcons with Skyhunters in Flight.

Stay January 30 - February 1 and reserve the WINTER WALK room package, which includes two spots on the walk.

We talk a lot about dinner here, but breakfast, lunch and Sunday brunch are also quite lovely times to stop in for a meal. Hearths are lit, our library is ready to lend a book to read, if you're dining solo. Be sure to stay for Brunch on Sundays before your head home.

E.E. KONO: CONVERSANT | OPENING RECEPTION

Conversant is a series of egg tempera paintings by E.E. Kono inspired by Troutbeck, a place where nature, community, and conversation have long sparked meaningful change. Drawing on the legacy of Amy and Joel Spingarn and the many thinkers who gathered on this land, the work reflects on Troutbeck’s role as a catalyst for social progress. Opening reception 1/16. RVSP
