GRATITUDE FOR AN ABUNDANT 2022

Thank you to you, our guests, our community, our staff, our friends, who all contributed to making 2022 such a positive year for Troutbeck.

Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards once again named Troutbeck in its Top 30 Hotels in the Northeast, this time at #11 (up from #13 in 2021). We've garnered an award in this category every year since opening (except 2020, in which the awards were not held). This is thanks to you.

Thanks to our ongoing collaboration with The Wassaic Project and Will Hutnick, We had the privilege of exhibiting the work of artists Polly Shindler, Taha Clayton and Eric Hibit.

We hosted five extraordinary women in the beverage world — Lee Campbell, Victoria James, Nika Carlson, Gina Correll Aglietti and Yana Volfson — to stay with us and share their knowledge, culminating in celebratory dinners.

Troutbeck was featured in Travel + Leisure as a cyclist's dream destination and in Vogue India for a stunning wedding that took place here, as well as many other inclusions and features.

REFLECTING: WE INTRODUCED BENTON HOUSE

In June, We launched Benton House, 13-newly renovated guestrooms, each with a private porche or terrace, once again in collaboration with Champalimaud Design and some of our favorite local makers, such as Dumais Made, Ian Ingersoll and Rebecca Atwood, and with landscape designer Hart Howerton, with planting and horticulture by Deborah Munson.

AFAR named Benton House one of the best *new* hotels in the Hudson Valley & Catskills.

REFLECTING: WE WELCOMED WESTERLY CANTEEN

Westerly Canteen — the mobile kitchen collaboration between Chef Molly Levine and Farmer Alexandra Kaindl, our neighbors in Amenia — is In Residence here, overseeing Troutbeck's culinary program through the end of February. Join us for their pristinely sourced menu, celebrating local ingredients with thoughtful, rustic seasonal dishes.

REFLECTING: THE INAUGURAL TROUTBECK SYMPOSIUM

In April, Students from nine schools — public and independent, middle and high school — gathered at Troutbeck to share the findings of their year-long research projects examining under-told BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) historical contributions, both in this region and nationally.

The Troutbeck Symposium echoes our property's unique history as a gathering place for great minds, looking critically at the past and ideating on a better future. The second annual Troutbeck Symposium will be this April. We also explore these themes in the Troutbeck Symposium Speaker Series, throughout the year.
