OCTOBER WITH ITS YELLOW, RED + ORANGE HUES
One of the many wonderful things about Autumn and the Equinox is that any resistance to the back-to-work / back-to-school feeling has been replaced by joy for the crispness in the air, the blissful need for a sweater, a favorite coat (or cape!) as familiar as an old friend. The late afternoon light is flame-like. The wind shakes them and color floats from the trees.
Our hearths are all lit again. Upon your request, our campfires can be too. Join us and explore the villages near by. Walk the Harlem River Trail. Fly fish on the Webatuck...Canoe down the Housatonic River with Clarke Outdoors. Have breakfast in bed. The possibilities are endless.

EARLY FALL MENU SPLENDOR
The last weeks of tomatoes are with us, and Chef Vinny is serving them as a carpaccio with Hudson Valley Steelhead trout roe and pickled shallots. Grimaldi Farm steak with mushrooms and charred cabbage. Tuna crudo with the juicy cherry tomatoes, all pictured and mouth-watering.
