Dutchfield's second property, Belden House & Mews, opened this spring in Litchfield, Connecticut, and with it an opportunity to experience our generous hospitality in a nearby, but distinct setting. If Troutbeck is the country estate, Belden is its more cosmopolitan sister located on North Street in Litchfield's historic center. While many guests arrive to Troutbeck and elect to remain on property — enjoying daily classes and Wildsmith wellness treatments in the Barns, enjoying the Dining Room, Belden is a literal in-town oasis, a five minute walk to Litchfield's shops, galleries, restaurants and cultural institutions. It's all at Belden's doorstep.

If you want to visit without a car, Troutbeck's team will pick you up from the Wassaic train station (7-minutes from Troutbeck) in one of our BMWs. Soak up the on-property pleasures for two days and nights, and then we'll drive you over to Belden in Litchfield, a walking town. At Belden, many rooms have private outdoor spaces and the vistas are still bucolic, there's a stylish gym and Bathhouse with steam, sauna, and Wildsmith Wellness, but then there's also a vibrant town also at your doorstep, mapped out in our Litchfield Town Guide.

When it's time to check out, we'll drive you back the Wassaic train station in a BMW to catch your train back to the city, with all ferrying free of charge.

Since weekend availability is so limited at Troutbeck, we suggest you make a long weekend out of it: arrive to Troutbeck on a Wednesday, move over to Belden on a Friday, or spend a weekend at Belden and then head to Troutbeck for Sunday and Monday nights with a Tuesday departure.
