Central to our very name is the presence of trout in the Webatuck Creek that winds through our property and on to the Housatonic River. Troutbeck boasts four pools, with two access points, reachable via the Beach, Upstream or Emerson campsites, any of which guests may book. The river is stocked annually and fly fishing at Troutbeck is both weather and water-level permitting. Guests who want to fly fish must bring their own gear and have valid New York State fishing licences. All fishing is catch and release.

To fly fish in our region, with the help of a gilly and an outfitter who can provide the gear, we recommend the Housatonic River Outfitters out of nearby Cornwall Bridge, which has excellent and extremely scenic spots to fish. Please contact the outfitters directly, as they have questions to ask any participants. We recommend booking at least a month in advance of your stay.
