Wood paneling, original to the house, envelops the room. Ephemera, shells, geodes and collectible minerals are interspersed between our book collection. For work, socializing in the evening, or simply to discover elements of the original Spingarn Library.

Antique velvet slingback armchairs, a classic chesterfield, a banquette, card table and original wood paneling surrounding a large limestone fireplace. Connecting to the Bar and the Sunroom, the Living Room is very much a place to socialize day or night.

The largest ballroom on a full-service estate property between Connecticut and the Hudson River! Beautifully lit from 6 locally made, copper and iron chandeliers, painted in soft hues and featuring a sizeable gas fireplace. Overlooking the Dunham Creek, the 3,500-square-foot Ballroom has a capacity for 250, seated, or up to 350 in total.

This 200-square-foot space is simple. A beautiful table and ten comfortable chairs. A bespoke silk chandelier illuminates the room for private dining and small meetings. When taken together with the Gallery, the Gun Room serves well as a break-out or support space.

Located off of the Living Room, the 500-square-foot Sunroom enjoys a southerly aspect, overlooking our noble Sycamores. Banquette and café-style seating for 24. The pool table may be converted to a dining table for up to 10.

Inhabitants of Troutbeck, through the centuries, have celebrated music, literature and the visual arts. We carry forward that tradition in all respects. The Gallery, at the heart of our visual arts programming is a serene space available to guests for contemplative viewing of remarkable artwork. Generally, additional works are hung throughout the Manor House, as with any great residence.

Escape is often the simple act of changing scenery. We’ve created a lovely workspace in our gallery, with socially distanced desks, blotters, reading lamp and task chair. Only a stone's throw from the kitchen or a breath of fresh air. Available to Members and in-house Guests.
