In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn the traditional knotting technique used in fine beaded jewelry, where a knot is tied between each bead to protect gemstones and pearls from rubbing together and becoming scratched or damaged.

In this workshop you will learn this traditional technique using larger wooden beads and colorful ribbons inspired by classic Mala meditation necklaces. By using larger beads, you’ll practice and master this timeless technique and create your own unique piece. Choose from a curated selection of wood and seed beads along with vibrant ribbons to create a versatile necklace that can also be worn as a wrap bracelet. Tam will also have additional stones and beads available for purchase.

Designed for all skill levels, this workshop is a fun and creative introduction to fine jewelry knotting. Adults and children ages 8+ are welcome, and no prior experience is necessary. All materials are included.
