We’re situated amongst the vibrant and engaging communities of the Hudson Valley and western Connecticut. Visit Millerton, Amenia or Wassaic, NY and Sharon, CT by complimentary bicycle. Zipline Catamount in summer or ski it in winter. Hike, fly fish, ride horseback, gravel or mountain bike, take a farm tour, visit a distillery, a bookstore or any number of beautiful shops nearby. Truly, there is something for everyone. Troutbeck is active with arts and cultural programming, with curated events on property and off all year.

George MacPherson is an intuitive sound meditation practitioner based in Brooklyn, New York. Having personally experienced the positive impact of sound and vibration as a modality that can lead to heightened awareness, inner exploration, and outer connectedness, George offers sound meditations across New York for one-on-one and group experiences through Sound of the Times.

Sound meditations offer an opportunity to connect to a vibrational exchange with harmonics and overtones through a range of instruments, our own voices and the interplay between sound and silence. Tapping into our true frequency through active listening, exploring a level of heightened sensitivity to sound, as a vibrational being, directing us toward healing from within.

TIBETAN BOWL SOUND MEDITATION

a guided introduction to sound + listening - a gently enveloping experience, featuring overtone emitting antique singing bowls to assist in calming the nervous system, soften, and promote deep rest from within

AWAKENING SOUND MEDITATION
Monday, February 17 | 11:30-12:30pm
purposefully geared to softly help guests wake up their whole bodies with a short introduction, moving into light breathwork, self created sound (vocal toning/humming), chimes, visualization techniques, and a range of curated overtone-emitting instruments to create a meditative state shift in mind and body

A sound experience for the individual to explore or deepen their practice. This practice allows for guests to familiarize themselves with the concept of sitting with sound as a guided practice; offering a moment to sit together first in an open conversation, then guidance on what to expect and 'how' to navigate the experience to our best advantage. This is followed by a meditation incorporating breath work, vocalization, and a soundscape created with a range of instruments, from koshi chimes, strings, tuning forks, gong and antique singing bowls; before sitting together in stillness and an opportunity to close with sharing insights that may have emerged through this practice.
