Find Things to doDining at Troutbeck is about time and place, from the ingredients on the plate to the company at the table, the goal is pleasure and presence.
Dine at TroutbeckJoin us on Wednesday, June 26 from 6-7:30pm to indulge in some pages in the book of your choice. We'll read together for an hour - either on Troutbeck's lawn or in our Library, weather dependent - and then spend time chatting with each other about what we've been reading. Host Cathy Morrell, a former editor and lifelong avid reader who serves on the Friends of Millbrook Library, will host by welcoming guests and leading a gentle chat after quiet reading time.
Inspired by the worldwide trend of slowing down and getting together to read (silently), as reported on in the New York Times, Troutbeck will lean into its unique history as a gathering place for writers and thinkers, to host an event of our own.
Attendance is free with R.S.V.P., but space is limited. Attendees are welcome to order from our drinks and afternoon snack menu and are encouraged to join us for Dinner thereafter.
