Truly, there is something for everyone. Troutbeck is active with arts and cultural programming, with curated events on property and off all year.

Meet Shane

Shane Fraser, a visionary Master Distiller at Tenmile Distillery in Wassaic, New York, brings a rich tapestry of expertise and innovation to the art of whisky making.

With roots in Aberdeen, Scotland, Shane embarked on his illustrious career at Royal Lochnagar in 1990, honing his skills at renowned distilleries such as Oban, Glenfarclas, and Wolfourn, where he crafted award-winning whiskies.

At Tenmile, Shane's debut creation, distilled in January 2020, embodies his commitment to excellence. Meticulously produced using 100% New York-grown grain and traditional small-batch techniques, his spirit is a testament to patience and precision. Shane's approach, characterized by extended fermentations and slow distillations, ensures each drop captures the essence of quality and the spirit of New York State.
