Family Fundraiser for the Susan B. Anthony Project
Supporting Our Community
Milton Market (Litchfield, CT)
The cloud of Covid-19 still hangs above us and its impact on home life and family relationships has been troubling to say the least. According to The New England Journal of Medicine, domestic abuse and violence has increased while the means of monitoring and helping victims have decreased due to the closure of workspaces, schools and clinics.
In support of the Susan B. Anthony Project - a non-profit providing crisis and support services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault - three friends, Charlie Champalimaud, Martha Fish and Carol Leskanic, have organized a fundraiser: 40 works on paper by artist and master gilder Leskanic have been mounted onto an array of vintage frames.
The body of work, which are collaged variations of emotive minimal, organic forms and quiet compositions created through the layering of handmade black and white Japanese papers, will go on sale the weekend of October 3rd at Milton Market (both in-person and online).
